Nasarawa Journal of Medicine (NASMJ is a bi-annual peer-reviewed journal published by the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria, Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Lafia. The Journal accepts and publishes manuscripts in English.

This is an open-access journal, and articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial-ShareAlike 4.0 License, which allows others to remix, tweak, and build upon the work non-commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given and the new creations are licensed under the identical terms.
SCOPE OF THE JOURNAL
Nasarawa Journal of Medicine accepts for consideration manuscripts from all over the world. We publish scientific reports on human subjects in the form of original articles, reviews, case reports, case series, opinions, correspondence, short communication, letter to the editors, and sponsored supplements. Our instruction for authors’ page provides more details on the types and structure of manuscripts considered for publication.
PEER REVIEW POLICY
- All submitted manuscripts are subjected to external peer review and editorial approval.
- Articles are sent to at least three independent reviewers in the related field. The reviewers are blinded to the authors’ identities and affiliations while the associate editors have full access to them.
- Reviewers are selected based on their expertise within the topic area of the submission, and their purpose is to assist the authors and the journal by providing a critical review of the manuscript.
- Authors would be notified within 2-3 months about the acceptability of their manuscripts. Manuscripts are selected on the basis of uniqueness, originality, quality of data and in line with the reviewers’ comments.
- Upon receiving the reviewers’ comments, authors are requested to respond to reviewers’ comment and send the revised manuscript and a copy of their reply to the reviewers, including the comment and explaining the answers to the questions and the changes made to the revised version.
- Communication regarding a specific manuscript will be done between the journal editor and the designated corresponding author.
